Frequently Asked Questions

Our Process

  • What is a drip treatment?
Like most people, you probably don't consume your daily dose of vitamins and minerals, let alone experience their valuable benefits. A drip treatment (Nutrient IV therapy) is a safe and effective way to directly receive natural vitamins, minerals, and amino acids into the bloodstream. The 30-45 minute session enhances your energy, improves your overall mood, and helps prevent future health conditions caused by stress, bad eating habits, and dehydration.
  • There are so many to choose from. How do I know what to get?
The best way is to book for a 10-minute free consultation. We have helped many clients with weight loss, energy, brain/focus, recovery, optimizing gut health, boosting immunity, anti-aging, and more! • Is this process painful?
Everyone's pain tolerance is different. While some people find needles relatively painless, others will find them painful. For these patients, we have ways of making the process more comfortable. However, this procedure is not excruciating, and we use the same needle size used in children's hospitals.
  • Who should or shouldn't do this?
If you retain fluids, have kidney problems, or suffer from certain health conditions, do not engage in nutrient IV therapy. We always recommend checking with your primary care physician if you are unsure. However, anyone with a healthy history can safely obtain its benefits.
  • Is there any potential reaction to receiving a nutrient IV drips while on other medications?
Adverse reactions are slim to none since this procedure is advantageous and safe. Everyone is monitored, and if some discomfort begins, we will monitor you over time and stop if necessary. Most people respond favorably to the therapy, feeling energized and alert from the beginning.
  • Is it an expensive treatment?
IV therapy is a premium service that improves your body's performance enormously, and it is an investment for your health. Users agree that preventative medicine such as nutrient IV therapy strengthens their immune system, helping them avoid expensive doctor visits.
  • How long does a session take?
Our drip treatments take approximately 30-45 minutes for it to be fully administered. We also have vitamin treatments that are only 60 seconds or less. Ask about our FastVitaminIV®! Lastly, our vitamin injections alone take a few minutes.
  • How soon should I feel the effects?
Depending on your nutritional and hydration status, you may see dramatic effects after the first drip treatment. People who regularly get IV drips will feel less dramatic effects as their bodies obtain optimal hydration and nutritional balance.
  • What should I do after the treatment is done?
After your session, you can go about your day as you would normally. There are no restrictions but to listen to your body. If your body wants to rest, then rest. All IV drip treatments are helpful with detoxification, and you will feel the effects of detoxifying so we recommend taking it easy. Also continue meditating, eating healthy meals, staying hydrated, and getting enough rest daily.
  • Are there any side effects during the IV drip process?
No major side effects are usually seen; however, people do experience some cooling of the arm and a mineral taste in the mouth that is all normal.
  • What is drip IV's made of?
The drips (Nutrient IV's) are similar to what you would find at your local hospital. They all consist of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids, naturally found in the body. Adding these nutrients gives the body more of what your organs need to function correctly.
  • How frequently should I get IV drips?
None of our IVs contain toxins found in medicine or pharmaceuticals, so no one experiences an overdose. If you are healthy, theoretically, it is safe for daily use. Realistically, most people do not put such high demands on their bodies that they would need daily nutrient IV therapy. Our most frequent dosage is a bi-weekly program and is tailored to your lifestyle.
  • How can I prepare well before receiving a drip treatment?
PREPARING FOR YOUR IV TREATMENT ATTIRE Please wear a shirt that can roll-up above your elbow to allow access to your arm. HYDRATE BEFORE EVERY IV The more hydrated you are, the more easily accessible your veins are, making for a more comfortable treatment. HAVE SOMETHING TO EAT Some of the vitamins and minerals can have a temporary blood sugar, and blood pressure lowering effect, which can make you feel light headed during or after your IV if you haven’t eaten. GET MOVING If we are sedentary right before an IV, our vessels may be more difficult to access. ALLOW YOURSELF ENOUGH TIME Give yourself enough time to arrive so you can get comfortable and relaxed prior to your treatment. This will make your experience more enjoyable and effective.
  • What can I expect during my treatment?
Depending on the type of IV treatment you are receiving, it can take anywhere from 30, 45 minutes to 1 1⁄2 hours. Please plan to be here for a minimum of 1 hour. During your IV, you may experience coldness, stiffness, and sensation of pressure or tingling from your fingertips, up to your arm, and into your chest. You may also taste or smell the vitamins; often, they are described as having a metallic quality. These sensations are normal, expected, and will resolve immediately following your IV. Let your nurse know if you experience any discomfort during your treatment, including burning, stinging, aching, or feelings of nausea or light-headedness. We have many solutions to improve your comfort! The most common IV complication is infiltration, which occurs when IV fluid leaks into surrounding tissues. Infiltration can be caused by dislodgment of the IV needle, most often by patient movement. Although this is a non-serious complication, keeping your arm still during your treatment is essential to prevent discomfort and delay. Many people enjoy an immediate feeling of relaxation during their treatment. Your IV should be an experience you want every time, so please let us know what we can do to make your experience the most comfortable!
  • What can I expect after my drip treatment?
Many people experience increased energy, mental alertness, and overall well-being immediately following their IV treatment. These effects may be subtle or may not be noticed until the next day or days following treatment. You may require several IV treatments before you begin to experience a benefit. Chronic stress, illness, lack of sleep, and poor eating habits can contribute to nutrient depletion. Without adequate nutrition, metabolism inside our cells becomes sluggish, leading to a buildup of waste products inside the cell. IV therapy delivers high doses of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acids directly into the bloodstream that readily cross cell membranes to ‘kick-start’ cellular metabolism. Therefore, it is normal to experience mild fatigue, headache, nausea, or light-headedness following your IV treatment. This is especially common after your first few IV treatments, as your body works to clear any stored metabolic waste products. You may continue your daily activities, including exercise if you are feeling like it, following your IV treatment. Most importantly, it is essential to continue to stay hydrated and eat regular meals. Minor bruising of the IV site is common and should resolve within the week. If you experience redness, swelling or pain in your arm or at your injection site, please contact us right away. If you have any questions or concerns following your IV treatment, please get in touch with our clinic to speak with one of our nurses.
